Ken has been the Senior Minister at Athens Christian Church since 1984. He graduated from Lincoln Christian University and attended two years at the Seminary.
He and his wife, Sarah, have two sons, Kyle (wife, Colleen) and Keith (wife, Rachel). They have five grandchildren (three grandsons & two granddaughters) who bring much joy to their lives! In his spare time, Ken enjoys running and cheering on the Cubs!!
Sarah is the Director of our After School Program which meets during the school year.
Shane Baker came to Athens Christian Church in October of 2005 to serve as their Children's Minister.
Shane is married to his wonderful wife Lorna (Basso) who grew up in Athens. They have a daughter, Olivia and a son, Kenneth.
Shane loves working with kids and sharing the love of Jesus with them. He enjoys seeing them embrace their own faith and make their own personal decision to make Jesus Lord and Savior of their life. In his spare time he loves: spending time with his wife, his children, sports, hunting, and fishing.
Casey joined the church staff in September of 2009, taking the role of youth minister. He took on the associate role in 2015 as well. His previous service includes the role of associate minister/director of youth in Maroa as well as serving as a youth sponsor and deacon at Mt. Pulaski. Casey was joined in marriage in 2008 to Jen (the better half). Their daughters, Harper and Evyn, joined the family in the spring of 2013 and spring of 2015. Casey enjoys every part of youth ministry, sports, reading, coaching, and spending time with his wife and daughters.
Nick began serving at Athens Christian Church in August of 2013. Nick grew up in central Illinois and attended Lincoln Christian University where he studied Worship Arts and Christian Ministry. Nick is married to his high school sweet heart, Ellen. They were married at ACC in August of 2012 and welcomed their son Oliver in late 2015. Nick believes that we exist to lift up the name of Jesus Christ and has a passion for doing so through the arts.
